As part of their work on the Ancient Egyptians, Class 3/4 visited Birmingham Museum to explore the Egyptian gallery and learn more about this ancient civilisation through the wonderful artefacts on display. The children were amazed to see real examples of painted coffins, mummified creatures like a crocodile, even a mummified man! There were lots of objects and artefacts that the children recognised from books and their work at school, as well as new artefacts and information which the children didn't know. A great day out with lots of fun (and at times gruesome!) learning.
